The canes are gonna need to play tough against Chicago, The 'Hawks just snapped a losing streak thanks to their backup goalie. we need to win it to keep the momentum going into friday's game against the Caps.

The Canes have been playing well since the Olympic break, hopefully they can keep that up and win 2 out of 3 this week with one of the wins coming against the Caps on Fri. The game Friday will be a war, if we can hold on to our 8 point lead and beat them that 10 point lead will look huge but a loss and it's anybodys game.

After the Caps loss to the Leafs just grinding a point out of this game would be big.

The Hawks are awfully damn tough at home. they have a 22-5-4-0 home record.

This year the Hawks are pretty damn good anywhere. The key is forechecking. You've gotta get in there and pound on their defensemen. They seem to have a ton of team speed too. They can turn things around quick. Be weary of a two goal lead, they tend to score in bunches. Overall, they're a real fun team to watch and this team can DEFINITELY give the Wings fits!!

and that can definitely give the Canes some serious problems. it seems they can tend to reolax a little when they are up by a few goals. I haven't seen the Hawks play this year, so i only know what i read in the papers. The Canes will have to play hard in order to keep their dtreak alive

That could be trouble. The hawks never quit. They're probably the best under-a-minute and losing team in the league. They have a lot of character. They really play inspired. If they weren't in Detroit's division, I'd go get me an Amonte jersey!!

HAHAHA, yeah the Hawks have a cool a$$ jersey. it gonna be an interesting game to watch, I just hope the Canes play like they did against Boston and not the Leafs

We should have the team speed to match up with them, but the pounding part will be a problem. Hopefully the Hawks will run into a hot goalie tonight.

Lets also hope that O'neal, Brindy and Battaglia and all the boys play huge tonight. Bates has averaged a point against chicago during his career. he needs to score his 20th

Don't you wish you had another 3 or 4 guys like Bates? You gotta love the big tough, fighting forwards, ala LeClair!!

Bates is having his best season yet. he is playing so hard and tough. he is scoring and doing things on both ends of the ice. he isn't afraid to sacrifice his body to save a goal.

Bates knows this is put up or shut up season. He was shopped around last year but there were no takers. When he concentrates on his strengths he is a very solid player but when he tries to do things that he can't do yikes.

That''s very true, but so far he is having a great season and I hope it continues, I like him on the team, plus he has a cool first name

The Leafs offered the Canes Farkas, and a 3rd rounder for White, Canes declined :(

White plays for Chicago not the Canes.
