The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Sami Kapanen to a 2-year contract extention through the 2008-09 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Kapanen, 33, has recorded seven goals and seven assists for 14 points and 14 penalty minutes in 51 games for the Flyers this season. He has registered 180 goals and 259 assists for 439 points in 731 career games playing for the Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes and the Flyers.
