The Pens will move Kasparitas and Lang at the trade deadline and want young prospects. Whose got the pups to pull off some deals?

Seems like the Pens are looking to trade Kasperitus every other week. Why don't they get off their asses and do it? I think Detriot could use somebody like him.

Well, the news out of Pittsburgh on this has been pretty much the same... we know they pretty much plan to move Kaspar and Lang because they are free agents after this year. So is Hrdina.
The major question was whether they want to get young talenmt, or get some filler types to try to make the playoffs...
BUT... with Mario out for the year, and Straka out indefinately again... I think it's gonna be some kids coming to the Burgh again...

I agree. It's a little early but the year isn't looking too good. I'd rather grab the youngsters and see what happens next year.
I'd hate for them to turn out like Calgary and Edmonton. Lots of good young talent, then when they get ready for a big time contract, they gotta let em go because they can't afford them. I'm glad hockey doesn't have a salary cap, but damn, the smaller market teams need a little help from the league flooring a contender. Don't get me wrong smaller market teams are pretty good, Calgary and Edmonton are fast teams that play gritty and reak havik during the playoffs, but I don't see them getting any rings anytime soon.

Hey, send Kasper this way!! I hate the guy, but he's that guy the Rangers need.
Who do you want? Malhotra? Dvorak? Nedved? all three?

I can't believe how small that guy is for the way he plays!! I guess the Wings have a good shot at landing him. I'm a little nervous about what it's gonna cost us though. We've had great teams in the last 10 years here, but they love giving away our draft picks!!
