The NHL go back to the OLD All Star format; East vs. West.

I for one, would like to see that mainly on the basis that roughly 65% of the league is Canadians and Americans. And the other 35% makes up the World team. It just seems horribly misproportioned.

It's like I told Chris, it should have been the NHL vs. the Detroit All-Stars! ;)

Actually in the early days it was the rest of the league vs. the previous years champs. And those games got really nasty according to the stories I read.

Change it up, keep it fresh. How about an All-Star game with all the players with substance abuse problems against the best in the league? :D

Doesn't really matter much to me... not much of a game really... in a way, it is cool to see teammates play against each other, I suppose... ???

Tom, I thought I hated Gary Bettman, but you, well, I think you take the cake.:D

I also forgot about what Ken said, that the previous years champs should play the league All-Stars, but that wouldn't really work well, until there's some sort of salary cap. Players are starting to move around a bit more like baseball than they did in the 50's.;)

Oh and Darth, I agree with you too. The game doesn't seem like much of a game to me as it did in the early '90's.
