I guess all the devil fans only come out when playoff time rolls around, and they are a favorite to win it all.:p

From what I've seen, they are Ranger and Islanders fans at the moment and like you said, will be Devil fans once the playoffs roll around

Im gonna go out and recruit some devil fans to this board. Even though I dislike them, they are fun to argue with. And plus I honestly believe that the Rangers are gonna give them a run for their money this season.

Been a Devils fan for many years and have supported them through the highs and lows. Unlike the Rangers, we've had some highs recently (jealous?) Go on and on about how the Rangers are going to change their ways this year because of Lindros, but I'll just wait and see that before I believe it. Has he EVER played through an entire season?

Jelous? No chance, I could easily become a devils fan....But then I'd have to shoot myself.:)

Im not saying you personally, but as a whole Devil fans are the most ignorant fans on the planet.

Thank You

considering that more than half the seats that are sold at MSG are companies trying to please their clients (they'll accept any type of entertainment as long as it's exciting and FREE whether it be a hockey game or a night at a strip club) I bet those same people who cheer on the Rangers when they're in NY are cheering for LA when their company sends them to the West Coast for business and the companies out there try to kiss ass. Sure the Devils have attendance problems, I won't argue with you over that. The fact is, there are many, many Devils fans who probably would attend games if it was a bit more convenient. I live in central Jersey and am a season ticket holder, but only because I work in Northern NJ. All this talk about a new arena should include asking the fans where a good site would be (a lot of fans in Central Jersey) I know there are fans that only come out when the big games are being played, but doesn't that happen in every sport and every team? I remember when the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 94 and EVERYONE was wearing Ranger t-shirts and hats and whatever they could find. The fact is, people jump on bandwagons all the time. It is not a problem that one team has.

Like you said EVERY TEAM has BANDWAGON JUMPERS.

Sooooooooooo TRUE.

As for SEASON TIX's do you see a NEW HOME wanted with your fans ?

If they cant get one I heard they are gonna move them, Would this mean out of the state ( I heard that).

I for one have been a RANGER FAN my whole life and had to deal with peeps LOLing all the time.
I do see us as a BETTER team this Year, Not just because of the LINDROS FACTOR. For the New players and young prospects coming up.

So as far as the BAND WAGON JUMPER ~ Before last season end HOW MANY AVS fans did you see in the TRI-STATE (NONE)
Now there every place............................................

What Part of NJ? Im in North Brunswick myself...but anyway

I believe that Rangers fans are the most loyal fans in hockey...I mean we havnt made the playoffs in years, but every seat is ALWAYS sold, even when the blue Jackets come to town. Maybe the reason why I cant stand devil fans is because I gew up around nothing but them. Thats my $.02

Considering that Continental Airlines is trying to cut back on expenses, they are probably not going to be open to may discussions about their arena. Add to that the low ticket sales, low merchandising revenue and underpaid players who will eventually demand more money and you have a team that is skating on thin ice (no pun intended). Plus New Jersey is already cut up when it comes to hockey teams: South Jersey (Flyers), North Jersey (Rangers/Islanders).

The Devils should just move their team. THEN we will see how many true Devils fans their are in the PA/NJ/NY area when the team in across the country. I would say most all are going to become Rangers/Flyers fans. Especially when they start winning Cups.

I live in Central NJ (monmouth county) and want to clear up something first. I had mentioned on another board about a location I thought was ideal for the Devils to move to and was bombarded with hate posts from Northern NJ residents. There is a big difference between central NJ on the coast (monmouth, ocean counties) up to Middlesex county and central NJ on the other side (Trenton, Princeton, Mercer county area). My idea was that putting an arena in Holmdel (near the arts center) would be convenient for everyone in NJ. If you go west (in central NJ) you will find Flyers fans, but in Monmouth and Ocean counties especially, the fans are split between Devils and Rangers. A lot of the young kids whose parents were raised as Rangers fans in this area have been supporting the Devils. The problem with the arena in East Rutherford is that many of us in the central and southern part of the state have quite a trek to get there. I work in Northern NJ, so it's not a big deal for me, but the situation with my season tickets would be different if I wasn't up there anyway. I am still a Devils fan (even though some people say that true fans would find a way to get there) but when you work, other things sometimes rule over hockey.
