Payback time. Earlier in the game, Calgary ran the Anaheim goaltender. They also ran Kariya and Friesen.

Later in the game, Anaheim decided to run the Calgary goaltender and all hell broke loose. Three times after a face-off, the Flames started three fights.

The Flames coach was suspended for two games and the Flames as a team was fined $25,000 since the coach didn't control his bench.
