CANOE (http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL/2006/10/10/1992458-24h.html)
First and funniest, Eric Lindros and his new found anonymity in Texas. The Big E, who went from The Big Apple to The Big Smoke, has stood squarely in the centre of a very hot hockey spotlight for years. Oh how things have changed, as suddenly he is unable to get past security at American Airlines Centre. Seriously! Security couldn't be persuaded that the six-foot-four, 240-pound Lindros was in fact a player. After a couple of minutes of "honest, I'm a Star ... a Dallas Star." and presenting his ID -- nothing.
No word if Bobby Clarke had paid the guards.
