Carolina takes the series lead with an OT win in Game 5. Canes up 3-2.

Are they on tonight.. I guess I should just look. Anyway, I think the Sabres have lost a step with all their injuries, and suspect the Canes will finish them off in Game 6 in Buffalo.

We got a game 7!!!!!! :) I don't know how Buffalo is doing it as banged up as they are.

Well, Carolina pulled it out in Game 7 and won a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. Got to give a lot of credit to Buffalo, they played with pure heart. In the end, the injuries got the best of them.

That Sabres team reminded me of the 2002 Maple Leafs. Played through a lot of injuries on pure heart, only to finally succumb.

Shame they're not going to the Finals.
