I'm a huge fan of that "if you can't build a winner, buy one" approach.(yeah,that was sarcasm.) Sounds like the Avs have Rangers envy. The only difference is their team works.

Tommy Salo has always been a solid goaltender, and should be a great addition with David Aebischer, but I am a huge Aebischer fan and I think he should be number one goaltender and then Salo.

Well, Salo's stint with Colorado was short - he signed with his native Swedish team for this coming year.

Chris, does he have an option in case the league gets it's head out of it's ass and offer the players something resembling a reasonable contract?

I have no idea - from the article, it sounds like he is done with the NHL in favor of MoDo of Sweden.
