There are many solid goaltender in the NHL. Some are overrated and some are underrated.

I had to go with my man Irbe. He is a workhorse and the Canes wouldn't even have sniffed the playoffs last year. I'll go with Salo as a close 2nd.

Yep, Irbe is good. Definitely one of the better goalies in the league.
He wears those ratty old pads too. That's sooooo effin' cool.;)

Tommy Salo is one solid keeper, and while he plays with a young and speedy team, they aren't the strongest defensively.

It's hard to come up with underrated goalies because they are so pivotal in hockey. When a goalie has a bad game it's obvious, whereas with other positions it isn't as easy to notice.

The Oilers have the fifth best defensive team in the NHL.
