Goeff:

When we kick the new board off, I'd like to rid us at that time of all the "ghost" sponsors. What do you think if we just kick the new board off with the few that we know we actually have.

Then with the new board up, we can approach others with the new multi-level plan?

Thoughts?

BTW: We'll also ready for display at the time of the new board launch, our updated rules and regs - I'll run a draft past you guys shortly.

Yea, I guess I better get off my ass and do some stuff! I'll start contacting the local sponsors with the proposals, and get a straw count on what we are looking at for next year.

As far as the new board, here is the list we should show for now:

DSI
APE
Livernois
ARE
CamaroZ28.com
Diamond
Speed Style Sound
Uptain.net
Mach Performance
Harlan Engineering

That's basically who we have now minus the North-South only sponsors. These are the guys I will contact in the next week or so to gauge their interest for next year.

I was going to pitch $1000 for major sponsor and $400 for associate sponsor for 2004. I'll work up a nice flyer for both levels, and try to meet with them sometime in October. I am making an assumption on doing this that we can get a Saturday track rental for around $2000 if we do it in the morning. With the amount of private track rentals equal to the number of major sponsors. Does anyone know how much Milan costs? Livernois will probably want to rent there (they sponsor a lane, don't they?).

If we end up with less than four majors (entirely possible) then we can slide in at other tracks for more informal events (like St. Thomas and Ubly which don't do rentals). That way we can hit our four track target regardles of how many sponsors we have.

That sound OK for now?

Agree with the list for now. Should just "grandfather" them up for now until we get the new board set and can show that we have our act together? Let's see what the others say.

Can you run the details (benefits) of each level by us again? Oh, yea -CZ28.com is a free reciprocal but that should be the only one?

Guys, comments on Geoffs sponsor plan going forward? We should try to get together in the next week or so. What evenings are BAD for anyone?

I thought it wasn't a rental, that we just ran our program along with the test and tune that they normally have - and it didn't cost us any money. I figure we could do that in lieu of a sponsored event.
