Why are all the idiots at espn picking these guys to get to the cup? Is the east really this bad? "Experts" picking them speaks volume about the east. If this is the best you have, bring it!! This is goon hockey at it's finest.

Well considering they finished right behind the devils last year in the east, without Leclair really....Then they added Roenick, Hlavach (sp) and others. How could you not consider them to be in the finals?

The Flyers WILL give the wings a run for their money, so dont be too cocky.

I couldn't disagree more, they're goons.

Is a goon who's capable of scoring 50 goals a season, still considered a goon?

Philly still doesn't have proven goaltending. If Checkmanek (sp?) goes through anything Brian Boucher did, they are in trouble. Checkmanek fell apart in the playoffs last year.

If the Flyers can stay injury free and get solid goaltending they will be a contender but the road out of the East still goes through New Jersey.

It's hard pressed to have LeClair stay healthy. I'm with Frez, their goalie could choke hard, and without LeClair full time, they'll pull the one or two in the east and start uphill from the begining in the playoffs. They gotta get that monkey off their back and beat Jersey, I don't think it'll happen.

Besides, after the whole Lindros ordeal, I'm not sure whether I hate Lindros, his dad or Bobby Clarke the most.
