Atlanta fired Curt Fraser on Thursday. The Thrashers are an NHL-worst 8-20-1-4 this season and are 64-173-31-15 in 3 1/2 years in the NHL, all under Fraser. General manager Don Waddell will be the interim head coach when the team plays at Carolina on Friday.
