Killer was at the Sens vs. Leafs opener, where the Sens inpersonated the Flyers and Leafs defence corp thought they were wearing Sens uniforms.

Anyway, do you think Dougie will be a Senator before this year is out, or do you think he'll remain retired?

I know he wanted to come back to the Leafs, but unless he's willing to play defence (a God knows he could a better job then half of the clowns we have now), the Leafs really don't need him.

I think he'll sign with the Senators, any other opinions?

Article on Canoe about the Sens quest for Gilmour (http://www.canoe.ca/Slam011005/col_garrioch-sun.html)

Again, this could just more of the Ottawa Sun's wishful thinking, but his appearance at the Air Canada Center would seem to me that he's not ready to hang up the skates for good just yet.

Canoe reports he's close to a deal (http://www.canoe.ca/Slam011005/nhl_mtl1-cp.html) with le bleu, blanc et rouge.

How about them apples? I guess the Senators missed their chance.

The Montreal Canadiens confirmed the signing of veteran centre Doug Gilmour on Saturday, a one-year deal plus a club option for a second year. The Habs are desperate for help at centre after the loss of captain Saku Koivu, who is fighting a battle with cancer.
