Meanwhile, an NHL source said last night that Detroit Red Wings goaltender Dominik Hasek has made his decision to retire, leaving pending free agent Curtis Joseph as a leading option to replace Hasek.

Dammit... if Cujo goes to the Wings, looks like I'll be cheering for Detroit again in the Stanley Cup Final. :rolleyes:

Guess it's official, Hasek does the Ray Bourqe shuffle, gets the Cup and retires. He looked like he had a few good years left in him, but anyway, he's gone. Will the Wings go with Legace? His record was very good the past two years, but Curtis Joseph would be a great replacement. I hope Belfour stays away from Detroit, I can't stand that guy! Byron Dafoe or Mike Richter would be great for the Wings also.
