Leafs' mastery of getting the call the difference: Sens (http://www.canoe.ca/Slam020515/nhl_otttor7-sun.html)
But one minute into the four-minute power play, Martin Havlat was penalized for cross-checking Cory Cross in front of the Toronto net.
"I don't know, there were lots of things like that in the series," said Havlat, who connected with Cross a couple of times before he was whistled for it. "But he called this one.
'HE JUST FELL DOWN'
"I was just trying to be in front of the net. He just fell down and the ref called it. But there were so many like that in the series and he didn't call them."
Hmm, I watched the game on CBC, and Harry Neale pointed out right after the call that Havlat was warned by the ref (they showed the clip where McCreary came over to him), and yet the dumb punk kept two-handing Cross (who played the best game I've ever seen him play) in the back until he knocked him down.
The Senators have never taken responsibilty for their failures in the play-offs. They have never shown accountablity, and always come back with the "we're a young team, we'll be better next year BS". They got lucky running into the self-destructing Flyers, but when their gut check finally came. They ran away like scared children.
IMHO they owe their fans more than this 'we wuz wobbed' whining. Too bad they don't have any 'real' sports journalists in Ottawa.
